Short-term Workshops For JIT Youth:

Nancy’s Chop and Chat

Nancy White Offered a Feast of Food, Fun, and Cooking Fundamentals to JIT Youth.

JIT youth were treated to cooking class held at the Youth and Family Transition Center at Casey Family Programs. Participants learned how to serve raw foods including green leaf lettuce, mini leeks, chard, radishes, scallions, broccoli, squash, and snap peas. They prepared tasty dishes, such as cooked and uncooked pizzas, side vegetables, and fresh salads. Each youth also learned to be creative in the kitchen, for example making his/her own low-fat variation of salad dressing.

Nancy filled our JIT youth with love and attention AND the art of preparing low cost, quick, and healthy meals.
