Financial Fitness Program

Financial Fitness provides financial literacy courses and offers potential matching funds assistance to youth who demonstrate self sufficiency through work and/or school. Participating youth receive the necessary training to gain a working understanding of savings, investments, budgeting, and banking. Participants are also eligible to access funds each year from JIT to match their savings for investments and asset-building, educational or transportation tools.

Partners of JIT in this collaborative effort to provide essential financial literacy to San Diego's foster youth are The Department of Education, Foster Care Unit, the Commission for Children, Youth and Families, the Casey Family Programs, Jim Casey, and the Workforce Partnership.
