Walk the Talk: Vision 2020

Our annual Walk the Talk celebration and fundraiser is happening on Saturday, March 14 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla! You’re invited to join us for a night of music, entertainment and inspiration –  all presented by our Just in Time youth!

2019 Annual Gratitude Report

In this year’s FY2019 Annual Gratitude Report, we’ll look back at an extraordinary series of accomplishments that go higher than any aspirations we could have imagined in years past. It includes impactful stories of youth-centered services, powerful volunteer engagement and visionary investments delivered in combination with growing partnerships, significant collaborations and supportive networks that nurture lasting change.

"Confident, Capable, Connected:

Just in Time lives up to these three values. Since joining JIT my life has changed dynamically! Thank you for your support.”

JIT - North County Lifeline Drop-in Center

It’s official – Just in Time has a new home in North County! We’ve teamed up with North County Lifeline to create a warm and welcoming drop-in center that will increase access to services and resources for North County transition age foster youth, homeless and/or at-risk youth and young adults.

Our Mission

JIT’s mission is to engage a caring community to help transition-age foster youth achieve self-sufficiency and well-being.

Our Vision

We envision a future in which every youth leaving the foster care system has a community of caring adults waiting for them after 18. We believe consistent, long-term help from the heart is the foundation for the success of our youth so they can thrive and enjoy productive, satisfying lives.

Our Story

We often start with meeting an emergency need, such as rent assistance or a bus pass or setting up a first apartment. As we establish trust and build friendships, we address other needs such as money management, education support, and college graduation, job skills, networking, meaningful employment, reliable transportation, and health and well-being. We also build leadership from within — all of our Youth Services coordinators were once in foster care!
